bandbio.jpg

the band came together after Anarchy Jones and Draven 87 met through the talking of backyard wrestling. They figured out they shared the same love for the same type of music. Draven87 was just starting out in the guitar and Anarchy Jones was growlin' vocal notes. They met up with rhythm guitarist, Wayne Bickel, and started their first band Twizted Orgy Klan. The name sucked but hey, it was a start. After Wayne didn't work out, the band dropped him and the name. Two years passed and they was still looking for a bassist, drummer, and rhythm guitarist. The two then Started a band with rhythm guitarist, Danny Bickel, under the name of Big Richard. they was a comical band and had one really funny song, the bumpety bump. Danny lost interest when he couldn't write any more funny material. The band was put on the back burner and Anarchy and Draven was on the hunt again. They finally met up with bassist Lindsey Maggard, A.K.A "Pretty Kitty". She introduced the two to Drummer Eric Reed. Once Draven and Anarchy heard him play, they gave him the name Deadly Fred, on account that he could not only play the drums, but murder the crowd with his sounds. after about three band practices or so with the new band, Anarchy Jones turned himself into the police for a warrant he had on him. while in jail, Draven and him decided on the name of the band to be Voodoo Stick People. that was it for a month, but eventually it was changed to Vicar Of Christ. Lindsey ended up not working out, or working at all, so she was dropped and bassist Ryan Ashbrook, A.K.A "Sunshine", took her place. They ended up hitting it off really well, cranking out originals every band practice. they had their first show together, playing Ironman at a school talent show. they lost due to bias and other prejudices. Sunshine couldn't make it to practice alot and finally ended up getting dropped. He then came back to the band on bass but soon changed to rhythm guitarist after he got bored with bass. Silent Mike took his place. Sunshine then had to step down again and rhythm guitarist Tony took his place. the band has been that way ever since and is going better then ever. their getting even more done now that the people are willing to come to practice!!!! Look for copies of their music on the streets of Price Hill, Ohio, Norwood, Ohio,  or in some places in Florida(but not in music stores yet cause we're poor as fuck) and i hope you'll enjoy this band as much as everyone who's heard them so far...

Update:
Well, since we wrote the band bio a few things have happened so I thought I might fill in the fans. As everyone knows we have had several ups and downs but that is typical. Also, Anarchy Jones, the bands original vocals, left the band for personal reasons. Soon after, Zakk was taken up on vocals but didn't really have the energy we needed, despite his talent.  Afterwards we put a small little ad in the paper and found Kayla AKA Chinchilla. She has come on board now as vocals and so far the band is VERY satisfied with her.  We've had a few more arguements all around and we've lost a member and gained a new member, but despite all the bumps and changes, one thing hasn't changed and it will never change. V.O.C. - You see, V.O.C. isn't just a band, and I'm not going to feed everyone a line of shit about us being some religion or better than others in any way but V.O.C. is much more than a band, it is a feeling... an attitude... It may not seem logical to some people, but once you've spent a single practice in that basement with us, you know what I mean. I know at leastforme it is kind of like an enlightenment... Almost like a religious experiance (Yes, I do see the obvious irony there, shut up). At the moment we are currently working on ourselves and I think if we continue at the current pace, this site may end up with a lot more hits here in the future. There will be more bumps in the future though and there may even be more line up changes... but I will stay it still, even if the next time this is updated, I am no longer a part of V.O.C.'s lineup... Vicar Of Christ will always be not only a band... but a feeling... an attitude... Love us, Hate us, or Love to Hate us - it's the truth and that's all we have to offer.
